Ranbir Kapoor on How Playing Lord Rama and Welcoming Raha Transformed His Life

 Appearing alongside his co-stars Sai Pallavi and Ravie Dubey on a festive Diwali special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir opened up about the emotional weight of headlining the epic. While discussing the colossal responsibility attached to embodying such a sacred figure, the actor admitted that he initially questioned whether he was truly ready. Yet, as the ambitious journey progressed, that initial trepidation softened into genuine, deep reverence.

Reflecting on the life-changing experience right on the hot seat, Ranbir shared how deeply the role shifted his personal compass, “Sir hum Prabhu Shri Ram ke jaisa banna toh sambhav nahi hai lekin unki aadarshon se kuch seekhna I think is a big thing for all of us, so..”

He added, "I felt gratitude that I got this opportunity at this stage in my life and a chance to become a better human. It was during this time that I became a father, and I believe that this film is a God's gift that I got an opportunity to become a better human, to understand Ramayana deeply and to get the opportunity to work with these beautiful people.”

What made this creative chapter so uniquely transformative was the arrival of his darling daughter, Raha. Welcoming his first child alongside wife Alia Bhatt coincided directly with this demanding role, reshaping his entire outlook on life.
