Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda Slams Trolls Targeting Their Relationship

Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have been making headlines following their appearance on Koffee With Karan Season 9. The couple's conversation on the show sparked a debate on social media after Vijay revealed that Rashmika had asked him to marry her 100 times. His statement received mixed reactions, with several social media users criticising the actor and questioning his behaviour towards Rashmika.

Days after the episode aired, Rashmika took to social media to address the criticism and defend her husband. Sharing a video featuring the two, the actress penned a lengthy note expressing her disappointment over the negativity surrounding their relationship.

She wrote, “I generally don’t address these things because everyone has a right to their opinions. Sometimes, I even enjoy reading them and gaining a different perspective. But the current frenzy over our interview feels less like people having opinions and more like an angry mob looking for someone to vent at."

Rashmika added, “I would do it a thousand times. 100 is nothing. It’s really that simple. And for those who seem to be absolutely blinded by their own narratives… We have both built our lives on our own terms, with our own choices and our own hard work. We are smart, capable adults, blessed with the freedom and privilege to choose how we want to live and whom we want to share our lives with. And we chose US."

Following Rashmika's statement, Vijay Deverakonda also addressed the online trolling and defended their marriage. Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a series of photographs and videos with Rashmika, offering glimpses of their time together.

In his note, Vijay described Rashmika as his best friend and one of the most important people in his life. Responding to those expressing concern about their relationship, he stated, “For all those concerned, we are both gloriously happy.”

Both actors have now made their stand clear amid the ongoing social media discussion.
